The other day I found in the mail a cute envelope from Louis Vuitton, Geneva. I was surprised as it was smaller than a catalogue and too thin to be an invitation so you can imagine my surprise when I found a “Thank you” note. This got me thinking, why in my many years and purchases in Paris and Vienna they never bothered sending something like this? They call when there’s a party, sale or new arrivals. Bah, hello? Of course! But where is the appreciation behind all this? And why only the Geneva store has proper luxury customer service? Is it the training they receive? The kindness of the sales persons? I don’t know, but regardless of where we buy or how much we buy, the service should be the same. Or maybe nowadays the customer doesn’t matter anymore, maybe the House has way too many customers and what does it matter if they lose one or two?
