It’s already Friday, the weekend is knocking at the door and I am feeling a bit overwhelmed because besides the work I’m having and the deadlines rushing towards me, I am stressed for another reason. I can’t help but feel self-conscious about the lack of sleep and the hazard I’m in, probably some of you can relate to it. I don’t like the puffy eyes I’m having due to lack of sleep and this stresses me to such extent that I can’t express clearly. I mean, we can face the work, the deadlines, everybody looks the same so beauty comes in second but like I said…it’s Friday and in the evening we must attend a dinner where puffy eyes might be the topic of someone else’s fun. Mhm. The stress level rises visibly and now my focus drifts from work to social evening. Not funny, but I have my tricks which I would like to share with you. Maybe you’ll feel better too!
Dark circles run in my family, and no matter how much I sleep, I still have them. Of course, sleeping helps but they’re still there nevertheless.
Anyway, I will start by saying that we all must have our beauty sleep as it improves the aspect of the skin and also, it helps clear the mind. I always make sure I change the sheets often and air the room daily, as a “primer” but sometimes, beauty sleep is just a luxury I sometimes have only during the weekend.
I also noticed that I mostly have the puffy eyes when I sleep without the pillow, so this also plays an important role now.

In the morning I make mint tea and keep the bags in the fridge for a while, and then I apply them on my eyes for two minutes, before I apply the makeup. To disguise the dark circle, I apply a lighter cream and a two-tone lighter concealer and I continue with my daily foundation. To brighten the eyes, especially in the evening when I use eyeliner or black pencil, I apply a bit of light pink or silver makeup to the inner corner of the eye. Not to look like a pink panda, just a tad, to make it sparkle.

Happy Friday!
